I learned to know Glen as a youth ministry colleague, and quickly realized he was a “mover and shaker” in the church and youth ministry. His passion for youth and ability to make things happen were instrumental in planning a Peace Jam youth rally, where he gave an inspirational keynote address on inner peace. Now as my mentor in a seminary internship, Glen guides me in reflecting on ministry and the church, and finding practical and theologically informed responses to a wide variety of situations. His wisdom and astute questions help me clarify my future direction and see my current reality in fresh, new ways.
In his life and his work, Glen lives out a clear commitment and passion for leadership development for youth and young adults. He also helped to create opportunities for me to step into new leadership roles and has encouraged me along the way.
As a speaker, Glen’s care and passion for youth and young adults shines through. It’s clear that Glen believes that Jesus is about the work of transforming lives, and he is great at accompanying young adults on their journey as they try to figure out who and what God is calling them to be and do.
Few speakers can truly bridge all age groups and I see Glen as one of those who is able to do this with ease. I have seen high school age students laugh out loud at his jokes and energized style. I have seen adults appreciate his genuine challenges and dig into the Word as they follow his message. I have seen church leaders respond to his calls for love and forgiveness. Young and old or somewhere in between, Glen unapologetically brings Christ’s teachings to his audiences through his energy, transparency, and deep love for the church.
Glen, or for me, ‘MinGlen,’ was and continues to be a mentor in my spiritual development. From MinGlenI learned leadership skills through hands-on, creative, and out-of-the-box teachings. My most memorable teachings are: The value of service in the body of Christ; the importance of organization and collaboration to inform the larger group; and, how to utilize your God-given gifts to reach the masses even if peculiar. MinGlen is a dynamic man of God!
Glen is one of the most down to earth and passionate leaders I know. As a newly established youth pastor and up and coming speaker, I have had the privilege of being mentored by Glen for well over 10 years. The lessons and strategies he imparted over that period of time have been proven invaluable and has shaped the way that I structure and conduct my youth ministry. If you want your ministry or personal life to be enriched, I suggest you contact him immediately. This is one connection you NEED in your life.
- Glen is a dynamic speaker that can engage both youth and youth workers. He brings extensive experience in youth ministry and development and understands the specific needs of his audience. I participated in one of his workshops and was greatly enriched. You won’t be disappointed.
